Bio

Award-winning photographer Ryan Lowry lives in New York with his wife and dog. Midwest raised, Ryan was born in Northwest Indiana and grew up going to punk shows and playing in bands in Chicago. Ryan earned his BFA in Photography in 2011.

Ryan has put out several zines and books. He self-published Two Years in 2014 which landed in Bruno Ceschel’s Top Ten Photo Books of 2014 in the British Journal of Photography. Vuu Studio published Ryan’s Ha Ha Happiness in 2019.

When Ryan isn’t making pictures, he is listening to music, collecting music, or finding ways to improve the way music sounds on his high fidelity sound system. His favorite activities include tinkering with audio components and DJing for his friends.
